Are you being ruled
My dear friend,
Peace be with you.
Please allow me to encourage and strengthen you for I also know that our lives and our circumstances are not always easy to handle.
‘Peace,’ according to Luke 10 verse 5 in the Amplified Bible, means: “Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family.”
When God made man; Genesis 1: 26, God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”.
God is Spirit (John 4: 24) and so this man was a 100% spiritual being. Later, in Genesis 2, God gathered dust and made a body for the man, wherein He blew the spirit man.
He gave His first command to the man in Genesis 1: 28 “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”
By giving this command to us, He gave the total power and authority on earth to us, mankind. That means that, because we are firstly spirit, the only real spirits on earth, are spirits that are in a body.
God also subjected Himself to this and so, if we do not allow Him to be in us, He is unlawfully/ illegitimately on earth as well. Awesome, is it not so? That is why the attack from Satan is so strong for Satan also wants to use our bodies to be on earth legally.
PRAISE GOD THAT JESUS ALREADY CONQUERED SATAN AND HE ORDERED US TO ALSO WITHSTAND SATAN, AND THAT HE (SATAN) WILL THEN FLEE FROM US. JESUS ALREADY GAVE US THE POWER TO DO SO. !!!!!!!
Therefore, never say that you are just a person living in weakness. You are a perfect copy of God with all HIS power and authority.
Revelation 1: 6 tells us that God made us kings and priests. That confirms the command of Genesis 1: 28 that we have to rule.
How important is our past, traditions and convictions still to us? How many times do we come into rebellion whenever something is said that differ from our convictions? Especially so on the spiritual side. Do we not thus cast stumbling blocks in the way of the children of GOD?
Because we do not rule and reign, Jesus says in Revelation 2:4 and 14-20 the following: “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.”
Why are we keeping quiet when somebody says something untrue about our heavenly Father or misuses His name?
Do we choose to be honored by people instead of God? Are we perhaps afraid that people should know that we are children of God and that it could possibly harm us?
It relates to the following text Revelation 3: 15-16: “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
How often do we try to compromise with God to please both Him and the world. GOD says very clearly that He is a jealous GOD. HE is jealous because HE created us solely for HIM. HE wants to be everything in our lives for we are everything to HIM.
Just think about it that, when GOD created the world, HE did it for you.
This letter is coincidently also written to the people of Laodicea. Laodicea, when translated, means ‘human rights.’
What is your attitude on human rights as we see them today? Is it New Age and similar views and beliefs? Do you perhaps feel that all religions and beliefs come from God and that the followers of all beliefs will be saved?
Listen to what God says about this in Revelation 3:17 “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”
Think again about your views on this. We serve a jealous GOD.
You know the difference between right and wrong. You can never say that a temptation was too big for you. You purposely decide to do what is wrong. How many times have you played around with thoughts that you knew were wrong, and then, when these same things happened to you, you were so very surprised that it could happen to you?
What went wrong that brought about the circumstances that prevail and brought about what was previously said, so that it became applicable to us?
Satan distorted the mission to reign over everything. He changed the word “rule” to “react”. He wants us to react to everything.
Are you not battling with your problems because you are ‘reacting’ instead of ‘ruling?’
Please do not think that GOD is angry with you and that HE will turn away from you because you do not rule. That is why HE has sent JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT to us and HE still does it today. JESUS to pay the price and the HOLY SPIRIT to lead us to the full power and the glory of God.
You may well ask me: “How should I begin to start ruling over my problems?”
Begin to start ruling over your thoughts. If something wrong enters your mind, bind it immediately in the name of JESUS. Think about JESUS and sing a religious song in your thoughts or even aloud. If possible, listen to a gospel song for it will help you to focus on JESUS. Guard your eyes and do not look at worldly things. The HOLY SPIRIT will assist you in ruling over your thoughts. Ask for His assistance regularly.
Let me give you some of the promises of GOD that awaits the one who rules: Be assured that these promises become real when you rule. I also experienced that happening to me.
GOD says:
Revelation 2:17 “To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give to him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it.”
Revelation 2:26-28 “ And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the Morning Star.”
Have you noticed that the morning star is the first star that you see at nightfall and also the last star that you see when the new day (light) comes?
A star shines when it is totally dark. God wants you to shine until the arrival of Jesus and you shall give light to this dark world.
Revelation 3:5 “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”
Revelation 3:9 “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”
Revelation 3:12 “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.”
Revelation 3:21 “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
Are these promises not awesome? They almost sound impossible but remember that GOD said that HE is not a man that can lie. He originally made us to rule and HOLY SPIRIT is there to help us so that we can rule with Jesus as Revelation 3:21 states: “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
The choice to rule or to react, however, is entirely yours. You have to choose.
Be strong for you are more than a conqueror in JESUS CHRIST.
