HEALING
May the peace of Jesus Christ be with you.
Recently I received an email being asked whether God still heals. The writer also mentioned that various medical diagnoses had been made and that surgery was suggested. I do not want to put this person in a bad light or ridicule the question. I feel that this is a very valid question and know that many children of God struggled with the same question.
Herewith is my answer as well as additional explanations:
I believe with my whole heart that God still heals as described in the Bible. Heb 13:8 says: “Jesus Christ (is) the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” So if He healed people in the times of the Bible, He is still healing people today and will heal people forever. In Exo 15:26 God says: “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” But look at the prerequisite; “If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes.”
There are many factors that can influence my healing. Factors like unforgiveness, bitterness, rebellion, involvement in the occult and many more. The lives of our forefathers can also have an influence on us, curses, involvement in Free Masonry and so forth. That is why it is important to deal with things coming down the bloodline. I must forgive, set free and, in the authority of Jesus Christ, command the evil spirits to leave me. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you on what to confess and address. There are two excellent books that I can recommend to help in finding and explaining the spiritual roots of sickness and disease.

My own faith also has a big part in my healing. Mat 9:28 & 29 “And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.”
I must also look at what I spoke over myself. Regarding my sickness, treatment, healing, disability, finances, circumstances and so on. Prov 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
We say so many negative words and declarations over ourselves and accepts diagnoses as final . Doing that cancels Gods promises and healing and bring a curse upon me. Speaking negative words over myself or my situation activate inner vows. These are very strong curses and only me, that spoke it, can break. Confess it as sin before God and cancel the words. Declare that Jesus is your Healer and stand on His promises.
Now you may ask, but how do I handle medical diagnoses? I, Cobus, do not live in a dream world. Diagnoses are medical and scientific facts and must be handled. To ignore them will not solve the problem or make them go away. If I am sick, then I am sick. The question, however, is; What do I believe? The facts of the diagnosis saying that I am sick, terminally ill or disabled, or the Truth saying “I am the LORD that healeth thee”
Go to Father with the diagnosis.
Confess any sin and unrighteousness that could open the door for this attack.
Apply James 4:7 and resist the Devil. Jas 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Command my body to heal according to the Word of God.
Take communion on a daily basis.
Keep on fighting the fight until you are healed.
Pay attention to your spoken words.
Declare Godly wisdom over those treating me and over the institutions where I am treated and bless them.
As the fight intensifies, move nearer to God.
I pray that Father guides you through His Holy Spirit to become more than an overcomer in this area of your live.
“ABBA Father, I bring before You every person reading this. Will You please fill all of us with Your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, please teach us regarding the healing of Jesus and how to declare His healing over ourselves as well as to believe it. Teach us regarding the spiritual onslaught on our health and how to fight according to the Word of God. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”
